Yeah, so it would seem that i am destin to deal with every possible issue that a webserver could have. Even those that noone could ever dream of…well it is going to be another long day
hopefully out by soon….but the outlook is grim. Not to mention I didn’t get it today…those who need to know what i am talking about will…but there was NO email and no call so who knows when i will see it. But damn if i am not working hard at trying….and not to mention fixing everything else as it comes up.
But i am sure i will get this one resolved just as i do them all some are just WAY more painful then others…until my next post i wish you a good morning, and in case i don’t see you good evening and goodnight.

Well…it is now the end of well yeah hell night so to speak…it was a case of everything that could go wrong did, but we got everything up and running and it all seems good. So that is the positive light on it all. And to top off all the hardware problems and this that and the other thing going on in admists upgrades and maitainence it was just a hard night for anyone…
And to top it off yeah i smashed my fingers under a UPS not so fun…i recommend avoiding that if you can.

FUCK
FUCK
FUCK

and oh yeah
FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yeah, I am pretty tired. It has been a long 48hours…between getting my friends machine backup and running and then some emergency maintainence at work and Easter and you name it. Sleep has gone to the way side. One of these days I will get all caught backup…Well going to Easter Dinner so hopefully nothing will go wrong during that….

So yeah…today a friend called me and all of his data on his server disappeared. Yeah disappeared. So you realize what this means? Just disappeared without a trace. The machine has NO data on it. It is gone. gone. oh boy. All I got to say is no data= fucked up mess.
I got nothing…that’s how much data I have. How does data disappear like that. He reboots and then it is gone…it was even a graceful reboot. Wasn’t like it was powered off while running or anything…I understand viruses and kill the MBR or the boot records but what deletes a whole drives contents like 40GB in seconds? Espically when it deletes it all somewhere between shutdown and reboot. Nothing is happening at that point..it is all hardware it is just the machine turning off and the hardware rebooting…no interaction no commands no nothing…….boy today is going to be a good one……………..
