A Tauren's Tale

ok, so i am going to summarize last night in a paragraph. Drinking, friends costumes good times. there were a lot more people then i expected to take the drive to philly from work but it was nice. a lot of us don’t really hang out outside of work so it was nice to see everyone in a very relaxed environment cause work is definately rarely relaxed…mainly because the business just goes i mean there isn’t much downtime. our customers want everything yesterday and we do everything we can to get it so it keeps us busy. just prior to that was my softball party. it was a good time some good grub and it was nice to see everyone since we haven’t seen each other since the end of the season like 3 months ago or so i think. i have pictures of both that will be going up in my gallery shortly. probably tommorrow because i can upload them all in NO time while i am at work cause i am only a matter of feet from my machine. it generally takes about 10 secs or less per image where here on my cable modem it is still like 4 or 5 mins. ok on to what i want to complain about cause i am sure everyone can understand my feelings on this one. actually i have two rants don’t know if i will get them both in today, they are drivers and lawyers and oh i will have to inset a post for yesterday cause i do have some stuff to talk about yesterday during the day but i am going to go watch tv and try to take a nap cause i am beat…so look forward to those three posts shortly…maybe one or two tonight and the other tommorrow…..

so i got my ball redrilled for the second time, this time it was only the thumb though cause it seems that is where i was having problems.basically i got a slug insterted and then you drill out the slug so it only cost 15 bucks verses 25 or 20 i can’t remember which. so i started my sudo bowling instruction so to speak. there is a guy adam on our tuesday night league and he is a really good guy. i can actually listen to him so that makes it a little easier to learn what i am doing wrong and take the constructive critism without it pissing me off. we kept the way i throw my ball pretty much the same moved a little direction wise and got the ball drilled right and it felt a lot better. i just need to get consistent. we also moved my focal point up to the arrows…this is a big step in it all because well yeah i never really knew where i was throwing the ball i was just doing it. which is good when you know what you are doing but not so good when you are trying to improve. i guess if i was happy with my 150 ish average i wouldn’t even sit and talk to adam but i think i can do better and i think he is going to be the one that helps me do that. i didn’t bowl terribly yesterday but a lot of the frames were practice so we weren’t really concerned terribly about the score but i was still in the high 150s to the 170s. with some more practice i can become more consistent and hopefully bring my average up to where it should be seeing i have been bowling for a while i should be pretty good but i am pretty much right smack in the middle….so that is my saturday story….

so today wasn’t so bad a minor catastrophe averted, had a machine loose a lot of files today…still not sure why but it did. but all is good on that front. well atleast it is believed to be who knows only time will tell. on a good note, today erik helped me get some PHP code working to change the image at the top of my blog so i will be creating some new ones to add to the rotation shortly…that’s it for now nothing to terribly exciting but i was pretty lax in posting so i wanted to make sure i got something up. i have a few other things but they can wait till tommorrow.

Well so my last post stopped on saturday of 2 weeks ago…so moving on. I have to backup a little bit, because friday night a some what major thing occured well pretty major. Byron decided to play Roger Clemens and broke his arm…well acutally snapped his arm in half. On the last pitch none the less. I feel really bad and it really sucks. He now has to sleep sitting up and can’t bowl and …. just sucks ass to learn how to do everything again with your non-dominant hand. He text messaged me at like 230am and let me know that whole situation which just sucks. So on to sunday, i went bowling, did ok. but not great. After bowling i went to sleep and slept like complete crap because i was so nervous that i wasn’t going to wake up since i had to get up at 530am to meet reema for our flight to CA. The flight from PHL to SLC was long but ok. Got to SLC with not too much of a problem. it was long but pretty comfortable. Now the flight fro SLC to SJC, that on the other hand was just crap. I switched seats with someone so that Reema and I could sit together and boy was that a mistake. for the whole like 2 hour plane flight i got to be sat on. the guy was too big for the seat and had to have the arm rest up just to be able to sit half in the seat and half on my lap. it sucked it royally sucked. i hope it never happens again cause i don’t like people i know sitting on me let alone some big guy that smells and i don’t know. i am sure he is a nice guy and all and i have nothing against him personally but it was very uncomfortable. so we get to CA, go to the hotel check in to the hotel and all and then we are off. we went down to monisha’s cousins house and had dinner it was a good time. I had some indian food that i can’t pronouce let alone attempt to spell but it was good. so after dinner we headed down to san fransico and went to alcatraz and it was the best time ever. ok well maybe not ever but it was awesome. i loved it, it made my uncomfortable trip worthwhile. after that we went out to eat and it was a good meal, so all in all the day was good. Good flight, good food, good company, alcatraz and just that one bad 2 hour period of time. not so bad. tuesday was pretty good only a few hours at the conference which went well. then reema and i went to dave and busters and i tore up a good meal and the spin and win wheel. got a bunch of tickets and started to trade em all in…got a talking brian from the family guy and a shot glass for amy’s collection. wednesday was the long day for the conference, a lot of time on my feet but it went well. won a lincoln navigator R/C car so that was cool. wednesday night we went out with scott from xramp for our “conference” meal and it was a good time, once again good food, good company, and good drinks thursday was another short day at the conference which went pretty quick it was slow so we had time to go around and see the other booths and all. then it was break-down time. since reema went to see her friend, mo and monisha had kadwa-chauth and lou and candice had their thing going on. so scott (CEO from xramp, one of our partners) and i went out. we went bowling which was a blast and then went to a casino that we just tripped on in the middle of nowhere…then off to dinner…after that we just went back to the hotel and “shot the shit” so to speak. then woke up early and headed back to the airport. so i brought my R/C car and it was too big to fit on the plane. they wanted to charge me 100 bucks to take the box on the plane so i had to have mo come back and ship it home. so that is where that whole thing stands. then our flight to ATL went well nothing really eventful. our flight from ATL to PHL was delayed by lik 40 mins then we boarded just to sit on the tarmac for another 40 mins or so and we got home and like 730 verses 630 i think that was planned….everything there was rather uneventful. reema and i didn’t sit together and i took a nap on both flights which was nice. saturday we had byron’s birthday party and that was a good time. i didn’t get home till like 530 so it was a long day. we had a lot of fun, played poker, asshole and just some generally drinking. there was a little more that night but i won’t embarass anyone right andy

ok, so it is a good thing my GF has a memory because i don’t. on thursday we went to dave and busters for her department outing with ING-Direct. That was an overall good time even though our team lost but we had a good time, some pool, some shuffle board, some games and a few drinks. it started out bad when we got to the parking garage cause they didn’t have everything ready and we almost had to pay. amy was getting pretty frustrated with it but it all worked out in the end. on friday we just went shopping and hung out. i don’t know where but that is what amy said we did. and here is the one that will get me in trouble for not thinking about saturday was the 15th and that was amy and i’s 11 month aniversary. so we went out to hibachi for dinner and then came home watched a movie or something similar might have just been tv and then went to bed….yeah thats about all i got.
