A Tauren's Tale

So all in all Vista isn’t really that bad. Yeah it has it’s annoyances like everytime you try to do something for the first time the whole machine locks up until you tell it that it is ok to do whatever you told it to do….which is good and is bad…hopefully in the RTM some of that stuff is already programed. Like i shouldn’t have to say it is ok to delete a file or copy it that kind of stuff should already be there. I can understand saying whether a program can or cannot run is nice but there are a lot of stupid things that just shouldn’t be there. The start menu looks pretty neat as does the windows. as Erik puts it it is very macish. which unfortunately the reality is that it really is. IE7 with tabbed browsing…well it is about time…but still am not going to use it unless i have to. Areo glass looks really nice very clean. I am not quite used to it disabling the second monitor when you lock your workstation AND you also don’t have to hit ctl – alt -del to unlock i tyou just put in your password unless you are changing users. overall it is a memory hog…gonna have to work on getting some more of that very shortly.

Oh and btw for those who care i am now going to be posting my LEGO(R) stuff on brickjunkie.com i set up a blog over there and i kind of like the way it looks so that is where all of that stuff we be for those who want to take a look at it. The theme will probably stay much the same as it is right now since i kind of like it.

DeMarini Bat Parachute – well as you may know erik bought one of these up and well honestly i think it could make a difference. It does seem a lot better then bat weights but i am just not dedicated enough for it to be able to make a difference more then likely…

Oh more info on the WII front. So aparently we have quite a few people that will be wasting their money on this thing. SO hopefully we can get some really good video of them playing those games with the awesome graphics…and the NunChuk Controller…come on guys…why are you going to spend more then half of what it would cost for a PS3 for the WII. It even has a terrible name.

So the other day while going through a box of disks that a fellow employee brought to work and said take these i don’t want them i was brought on a trip down memory lane…i looked at them just being nosey and there sitting on top was star wars doom. the mod for doom2 so how could i not take it and fire it up. Man doom rocked

There was nothing better then sitting in my “computer networking” class. That was what it was called offically as we were supposed to be collage course my junior year….well suffice it to say that class should have been renamed to Doom2 DeathMatching 101…it was great we easily spent days kicking the living $hit out of each other it was never a dull moment. To second that Wolfenstien 3D another classic that never should have been ended. Now I guess it isn’t really fair to say to second that because well Wolf3D was out first and really set the begining bar for the first person shooter…

So that right there is the current weather map for the east coast…holy crap! can there be anymore rain on the way? by the looks of just that little map we are in for rain atleast until late tomorrow unless for some miraculous reason all of the rain just disappears into thin air. Which I highly doubt is going to happen anytime soon.
