A Tauren's Tale

So yeah pretty much everything is moved into the new house and we have slept there for3 days now. It is nice to know the mass of it is now done cause moving sucks. I did get quite a bit done here though. I got all of my shelves put up in the basement and got most of my LEGO setup and organized. Not all of it made it through the move unscathed though…but i needed the spare pieces anyway and well looking at everything i wouldn’t have the room for it anyways. While unpacking my LEGO I found sets that I didn’t even remember some from my parents that I hadn’t seen for a while and some that I even built at the apartment cause I was boxing it up for a while to make space for the new stuff. My room in the basement with the addition of the shelves is almost complete just waiting on the sofa and recliner. The kitchen is unpacked for the most part, and the second bedroom “office” is all built and running. The other day I got a call from work and was sitting at my desk that was so much nicer then having to track down my laptop…then look for my mouse…then get close enough to the power outlet, just to be able to work online for a while. Now I can just go up there and done. The main bedroom is pretty much done there is still more clothes and that organization needed. The only real room that is a terrible mess is the living / dining room as a lot got put there cause it was the most convenient place when we were moving. I think that is really about all there is to say about the house other then no matter how much Amy thought it was stupid I got a WaterPik Rain Maker or whatever it is called and it is awesome, it is also nice to have the crazy freaky sink in the master bedroom and the second full bath. There is no more I need the shower, bathroom, sink cause there is plenty.

So there is really only one other major thing and that is that my Tuesday Night bowling team won the championship last night. There is a bunch of sore losers in our League so I probably shouldn’t say much but then again if they see this and take offense they should. SO for the past like 2 months we as a team decided we were going to win the championship and committed to it. Matt and I stopped drinking and we practiced and we just made it happen and well apparently cause the other team couldn’t bowl they complained that we had too much handicap and that it was unfair. Which the only reason we have a lot handicap is because we have 100, 140, 140?, 177 and 200 average bowlers. Unlike most teams we have a full gambit from people who bowl all the time to people who just come to have fun so it happens. It is really odd (well not really) but the team we bowled on the same pair of lanes apparently believes that they were setup because they had to bowl on the same pair as us. But if they weren’t morons they would realize it made NO difference. Even if we bowled on the other pair and we bowled like we did they would have still lost. Also it bothers me cause the teams we bowled against complained about this. Wake up people it is a handicap league! That means everyone should be within a few pins of each other with handicap. YOU DON”T LOSE PINS! If you bowl your average and so does the other team there will be very few pins as the difference which means the playing field is even no matter the handicap. It just bothers me cause people bitch about it. Whiny little babies.

Also for that matter since I am talking about the babies we bowled, Why is it when last week we were bowling well and hitting the pocket they didn’t complain at all that we were leaving splits and 10 pins but this week the tables turn and they bitch. The fact of the matter is that is bowling, you have to make a move, you need to adjust it is obvious that the way you are throwing the ball isn’t getting the job done. It isn’t the pins responsibility or the lanes to make you bowl well. It is YOUR responsibility you are the one who either throws it right or don’t. It is bowling so you can throw a ball perfect and the pins just don’t fall but still fact of the matter is that you didn’t throw the ball the way it needed to be thrown regardless of whether you think it was good or not it was still not correct. Just quit complaining and bowl it was supposed to be after all a fun league if you are so good go bowl in a scratch league then you won’t have to worry about handicap but more then likely you won’t have to worry about winning either.

So after bowling I rushed over to be in time for the 2nd softball game. The game went well, we looked 1000000% better then this time last year. We were in both games and it was a few mental mistakes and a few well placed hits by the other team that caused the losses. But I am proud last year this time we were mercy ruled and this year we made them play all 7. WOOT! So all we need to do is get together and practice some more and we should be able to make a good season out of it all.

So yeah a lot has happened since I last posted. Well I guess not too much in reality, but after this weekend we will be moved into the new house and Sunday night should be the first night that we actually spend in the new house. Kind of sucks cause well it has been over a month of owning it and all i have done is go and work on it. We have gotten a lot done. We have painted the upstairs bed rooms and my room downstairs. I have replaced all of the electrical outlets in the house and also fixed the switch for the garbage disposal. Also built the new furniture for the bedrooms.

Last weekend we moved a lot with the help of my dad and Marcus. We moved all of my stuff out of my parents house and move a pretty large amount out of the current house. My desk was a pain in the ass which really sucks cause I like that desk. The desk just didn’t want to come out of my parents and definitely did not want to go into the new house but the good side is that it gives me a reason to go and buy a corner desk like I have always wanted. So that is minorly exciting.So tonight I need to go get shelves and hang them in the basement so that I can put all of my LEGO up there and the other “Collectible” things I have mainly my Coast Guard Stuff, because I have Beer Steins, GI Joe’s, Helicopters, Boats, Signs, etc. So they all need to find a nice home as well. Right now I have all of my LEGO strewn all of the little shelf in the back of the downstairs as well as a homemade sign flipped upside down and a bookcase. So that has to be priority tonight so that I can get all of that arranged so that I have room for everything else.

So Sunday, is the last day or major moving. There is still packing that needs to be done as well. So tomorrow and Saturday night will have to be pack like a maniac days cause we really need to get house packed up and everything downstairs and ready to go for Sunday so that the rest of the move can go easy. The initial part was a lot of work but it didn’t kill me or really anyone, we were a little sore but other then that nothing major and we got a good amount done. I would say that probably 60% give or take a little is complete. More later.
