A Tauren's Tale

How awesome is this:

So I found this at the Potomac Mills Mall it was in the Harry and David store and was compelled to buy them. Not for any reason other then it is a plastic bottle with a aluminum can top. How much cooler could it be? I don’t know but it was one of the highlights of my weekend…yeah I know sad that something like that could be a highlight but if you know me you know that is just awesome and the oddest things make my day.

So I guess enough about the bottle with a can top. So I guess I should continue with a little bit about life. As I haven’t posted in a while. I would love to say that I will post more often but I know that would just be a lie so yeah I will update when I can but I will try to do it more often. I know there aren’t that many people who read this but the people that do deserve something every once in a while. So lets see how I can break this all down.

My Weekend- So my weekend wasn’t really too eventful. The Sheraton comped the whole weekend because of the terrible time we had with regards to the hotel while at Brickfest…basically everything that could have went wrong did. But Friday we saw Quigly and his wife grabbed a few drinks and scouted out the LEGO store in Tyson’s Corner. Then got some food and headed back to the hotel. Saturday, got up and met my friend Armena down in Potomac Mills mall and hung out with her for a while. Just kind of walked around the mall got lunch and caught up on everything as it has been a while since we saw each other. Then got dinner went back to the hotel and watched Mythbusters for a while till I feel asleep. One thing that really did suck is I guess on friday night. I slept on my left ear the whole night and man it hurt when I woke up, I don’t know if you can deprive your ear of oxygen or something like that but I definitely think I did something like that cause it was in pain for quite a long while. It actually still hurt when I went to sleep Saturday night. Luckily it feels better now but it did suck all day. Then today drove home and got the dogs lunch / dinner and watched football all day…exactly what I am doing now as I write this. I am watching the Giants tear through the Eagles. The score isn’t a blow out but the Giants are definitely dominating this game…they have 11 sacs on the night so that shows the dominance the Giants have right now.

Bowling- Here is something that is really making me feel good lately, in both of my leagues I am pushing the 180’s + but I am throwing the ball good. I have a 256, 227, 237 amongst a few other notable scores but I feel really good about how the season has started. The problem for me is going to be if it starts to go horribly wrong it will throughly destroy my confidence and that would suck but right now I am happy with how it is all going.

LEGO – well there wasn’t all that much there to talk about as I really didn’t get anything until this weekend. I have been working on sorting all of the LEGO that I have but that sucks it is really a pain to go through and sort thousands of bricks, by color then by shape, then find a place for them. Well this weekend I bought (2) Market Street, (2) Knights something or other, (1) Creator Townhouse, (1) TTX Container car, (1) Train Station, (1) Advent Calendar, (1) Polo, (2) new Blue brick key chains, (2) green base plates and I think that is it. But I think I know what my next big project is going to be, I think it is going to be a football stadium..probably Quest Field, I will explain that one shortly.

Football- Well why Quest Field you ask? Well that is because I am now a Seattle Seahawks fan. Why the Seahawks? Well the abbreviated version, I went through and offed all of the teams that I know someone who is a fan of them so that means …no… Giants, Eagles, Titans, Bears, Falcons, Packers, Ravens…then I took out the front-runner teams, Patriots and Colts (they are from Baltimore anyway) and then eliminated the Cowboys cause they are terrible human beings, then oh yeah no teams from Ohio cause Ohio smells really bad. So then I was kind of on the fence about the Chargers and the Seahawks so I picked the Seahawks cause well I like their logo better…so now I am offically a Seahawks fan along with Crystal (didn’t know she was a Seahawks fan before I chose them)

Work- Pretty much the same no really big changes other then now we have teamleads in our department which is nice helps spread the stress around a little bit. I know I am young and all but a lot of times the stress of on-call all of the time and having to be available and all it takes it’s toll and I have been doing it for 5 years so it is about time for a little relief.

Fantasy Sports- Well fantasy football I should say, as far as actual fantasy football I am terrible at it as of this post I am 0-3-0 woot! last place in the league what sucks is i am like 4th in points but I just can’t win. That may change this week as the team I am playing has Westbrook but he isn’t playing…probably be my only win on the year. Survival Football….out week 2 thought I made a good pick but lost oh well. Salary cap football…yeah i suck there too. I think i have decent players but they just don’t play for me. The only thing I am doing well in is Pick’em and well I am not really doing all that well…I chose to have 2 teams, 1 I would choose every week and 1 I would choose all before the first kickoff. The worst part of that is the one I pick every week is well pretty terrible but the one I picked up front, I think will be in first place after this week, but my other team will drop pretty significantly.

I will end this now as more then likely you have fallen asleep by time this post has come to an end so I am out….finish up the last 4 mins of the game.

Well…my inital post was going to just be “lets not talk about it”. We had some problems. I think there was a bit too much heckling going on and hopefully that won’t continue. But on the brighter side we won 6-5 in the 7th. Helping that out was Lou’s in the park home run (though he credits it to stopani) and then the winning hit by Bill “the stove” Coleman . Overall a hard game but we pulled it out. Lets see what tommorrow has in store.
